In a large city full of noise and danger, there lived a black stray dog that people called Batman. No one knew his real name, or where he came from. They only knew that he appeared every night, silent and watchful, just like the hero from the movies.
The dog was completely black, with sharp ears and bright eyes that shined in the dark. He slept during the day in hidden places, and when night came, he walked through the streets. He followed lonely people, guarded small shops, and scared away thieves with his loud bark. He never attacked anyone, but his presence alone made bad people run away.
That was the first reason people called him Dog Batman:
he protected the city at night.
There was another reason too. Batman never stayed in one place. If someone tried to catch him or adopt him, he disappeared. The next night, he appeared somewhere else, watching from the shadows. Children said, “He is like Batman. He comes when the city needs him.”
One cold night, Dog Batman heard shouting near an old building. A group of men were trying to steal from a small store. Batman ran toward them and barked fiercely. The noise was so loud that neighbors woke up and turned on the lights. The thieves ran away, but one of them threw a heavy object at the dog.
Batman was badly hurt, but he did not cry. He walked away slowly into the darkness, just like a hero after a fight.
The next morning, people found Dog Batman lying near the park. He was weak and breathing slowly. Many people gathered around him. Some cried. Some brought water. Others sat silently, knowing something was wrong.
Batman opened his eyes one last time. He looked peaceful. He had protected the city for years, without asking for food, money, or a home. After a few moments, he closed his eyes forever.
Dog Batman died that morning.
The city felt empty without him. Nights felt quieter, but also more dangerous. People realized too late how much he had done for them.
They placed a small sign near the park that said:
“Dog Batman – Protector of the Night.”
That is why they called him Dog Batman.
Not because he was strong,
but because he was brave, silent, and gave his life to protect others.
